About Faith

(She/Her)

*Currently accepting new clients on Fridays between 8am-4pm*

I love helping people. I hold a deep passion for supporting others through their suffering by highlighting strength, holding onto hope, and standing witness to their healing.

My journey to becoming a Registered Psychotherapist began as a child living in government assisted housing with my single mother. From my childhood experiences I felt called to help others and developed a strong conviction around the importance of attachment, connection, and living a life aligned to your values. At the core of my practice is the belief that safe and secure attachment is the key to wholeness and healing.

I completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion with a major in Counselling followed by a Master of Counselling and Psychology degree. Throughout my career I have worked with children, adolescents, and families, specializing in family systems and development across childhood and adolescence.

My therapeutic approach is client-centered and strength-based. My primary goal is to foster a therapeutic relationship based on unconditional positive regard and emotional safety. I see myself as the metaphorical ‘river guide’, following the client’s lead, while helping to navigate the shifting emotional currents and bearing witness to the journey.

I am passionate about working with parents and families. Becoming a parent is a sacred and deeply profound experience that can sometimes feel overwhelming, vulnerable, and confusing. I have experience supporting clients with the transition into parenthood and through pregnancy, loss, and post-partum. Through attachment-based principles and my training in Circle of Security, I aim to empower parents as they navigate the complexities, challenges, and beauty of deepening relationships within their family. I was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult and the journey towards acceptance was challenging. My own experiences in therapy helped me to navigate the grief and anger, while accessing compassion and appreciation for this unique part of my story. I am passionate about supporting others through a similar journey.

Outside of my life as a therapist, I find healing in the natural world. I experience trees as magical, the smells of lavender and eucalyptus as healing, and a deep soulful connection with animals. Cooking is an act of love and laughter is my medicine of choice.
